“Hi Charlotte, this is Ben.

I was very impressed with your profile on Plenty Of Fish; but I must admit, I was a little sparse on the details of mine; so let me tell you a little more about myself.

I’ve always been different; always did things my own way.

It wasn’t easy when I was young. Of course, I was bullied by the bigger kids who thought me strange… to them, that meant defective, degenerate, but more importantly, an easy victim.

But that didn’t stop me, I was made this way and I can’t be any other.

Since then though, I’ve developed a niche where I excel; and over the years, I’ve built up a thriving business from nothing. Now I’m quite a successful entrepreneur.

I attribute my success to being single-minded in the pursuit of my business goals; flattening any obstacles that get in my way; and of course, that’s obviously why I’m still single.

But I want that to change. I am ready for a relationship, and I hope that we might be able to hit it off.

Look, I am outside your place right now. My vehicle is parked across the street. Why don’t you come down and we can go for a ride and then dinner?”

“What do you mean you’ve changed your mind and don’t want to go? I don’t understand why you say I lied in my dating profile.

I was very truthful, completely truthful when I said my ride was a yellow two-seater valued at a couple hundred thousand dollars. I can’t be blamed if you thought it was a sports car …

But hey, you gotta admit, we’ll have a great view, and no one is going to bully us on the road.”

  1. “[F]lattening any obstacles that get in my way”, eh? Love it when you bury little things like this!
